Pandemic partnerships

“Unanticipated has been that equalling of the partnership that happens when we're all sitting in our various spare bedrooms, all looking a bit dishevelled and weary, all looking at one another in random squares on the zoom screen: we're all in this together.” - Matthews et al. anonymous survey respondent (2020)

This interactive presentation will explore how can we go about promoting student-staff partnerships within the context of a pandemic. It will draw on several sources, including a set of mini case studies of partnership going online from different parts of the world, and an international community poll on the impact of COVID-19. These responses will be discussed in the context of the values that underpin partnership practice. Participants will be asked to share their stories and approaches to ‘pandemic partnerships’.
